ripgrep takes a weirdly long time on a small directory, so I decide to debug it with strace. Later... strace: Process 8469 detached Did it really background the runaway search? `pgrep rg` prints PIDs, so the answer must be yes. Let's kill it. `pkill rg` and my session dies.

Oh, it's not a bug, I switched from my Rust branch to the old Python branch, and I didn't have the target/ directory in my .gitignore. After I realized you can just do `rg --files`, I figured it out really quickly.
