Very nice, I've almost quit using grep (gnu etc) on Windows in favor of
#PowerShell Select-String cmdlet or -match operator but now have to try the new features, maybe build a PS module Can use JSON output for convenience Select-String is an excellent grep but not *always* better - 2 more replies

that’s awesome! Thank you! ripgrep is on its way to making searches within an IDE unnecessary — and de-monolithizing development workflows!

I've been meaning to blog about this, but: Text search is shockingly effective for development. You find docs, callers/callees (approximately), and even duplicated code! It even works in any language. Smart IDE tools have their place, but dumb search is indispensable. :)
