Apologies if the translation is bad and I've misunderstood, but I'm very interested to hear about use cases for regex in no_std. Could you elaborate?

Sorry, I wasn't talking about no_std use cases for regex. It is merely some guessing around why regex isn't part of Rust std.

Yup, the machine translation was bad! But yeah, regex moving out of std was the best thing that ever happened to it. I didn't have time to go through the arduous process of making changes when it was in std, but once it got booted, it was easy for me to give it lots of love. :-)
