Good tip. It only applies to regex engines with "leftmost first" semantics though (such as Perl regexes). In POSIX regexes, "leftmost longest" is used instead, such that 'Sam|Samwise' and 'Samwise|Sam' are equivalent.pic.twitter.com/dfJ21UP297
