    McConnell really tried to get the $40 billion in aid through on Thursday, even doing a joint request with Schumer to show how badly he disagreed with Rand Paul. The aid will get cleared in the next few days, but clearly delegation would rather have had it pass on Thursday

    WHile Trump is attacking Barnette as “very risky” in a general election, Scott says he’d be comfortable if she's is the nominee. “The voters do a better job of choosing the right candidate for their state than people in Washington,” Scott said in. “Nobody supported me in 2010.”

    Improbably, Trump doing more to make an electability argument than most Rs Trump said in a telerally about Barnette: “the problem is nobody knows what she is, what she stands for, who she is. It’s very risky.” McConnell would only say: “We’re all watching with interest.”
