@bunniestudios I dug up a Tandy 102 want to turn it into a low-distraction word processor. I type dvorak, and I found your post on converting it. I am good with a soldering iron, but re-burning an EEPROM is a touch beyond my skills. Any advice?
You just need an EEPROM burner to reprogram the EEPROM -- these were relatively common and actually it's probably not so bad to build one yourself these days altho I haven't thought about that problem in like, literally a decade...but the timing is defs in the realm of Arduinos.

The current reqs for reading that chip made me worried I'd screw something up. I've done microprocs on various dev boards, but that's just flashing. Can that ROM be sourced these days (blank or whatever) if I fry it? And do you have your modded dump still?

Yes, that ROM (or an equivalent FLASH version) is sourceable. DM me and we can chat more if you get stuck.
