Cool study - one minor issue for the history section: P2, paragraph 2 - apart from locust and crayfish, work has been done on the stick insect - see refs. Referring to this organism explicitly is, however, not yet present in the text. Best, Ansgar

Sharp electrode neurite recording in a stick insect sensory afferent 🤗🔬 - I’m so used to my nonspiking neurons that spikes are quite exciting!😃 (Sound on to hear SETI motoneuron firing!)

scitweeps beat me to it, but here it is: a lot of firsts for me and hopefully for science too. In my first PDwork/preprint/corrAuthorWork we show first characterization of walking initiation pathways in Drosophila.

In case you missed it: Check out our new paper on how processing of sensory feedback in the walking insect is body-side specific - and why this matters in curve walking!
