I know a guy who took a week off school sick after the '79 GF and also wrote a to the Premier to have the result changed.

In all fairness after the All Blacks lost in the World Cup semi finals in 2007 I didnt go to uni for a few days, but then again I didn't qrite a letter to the governing bodies about the standard of referring.
