    Exactly. If we agree openness can speed innovation (more minds on a problem from more angles) & hopefully drive down cost to improve access (lower cost claims for distributed R&D), why the resistance to trying this model for tough nuts eg Neuro diseases?

    The absence of adequate meteorological observations across Canada is a huge issue & something that continues to get worse over time. Scott Williamson & I recently published a letter in Science describing the loss of met stations above 1000 m. But the story is the same everywhere.
