I’m not kidding. Hear me out. Abortion is considered justifiable by many people because the developing human can’t think, eat, or survive on their own. Many disabled people require some level of assistance, whether that be a caregiver or a technological device.

If you’re going to dehumanize the unborn because of their lack of abilities, you are naturally dehumanizing the disabled community for the same reason. True compassion is consistent, not selective towards what is most convenient.

So no, abortion activists, I don’t believe you when you say you’re intersectional. I don’t believe you when you say you advocate for disability rights. If you weren’t going to defend me as a disabled fetus, I don’t believe you’re fully acknowledging my humanity now.

That awkward moment when members of your own community attack your defense of human life and insult your intelligence. Hmm, I wonder why I’ve always felt unwelcome in the disabled community 🤔

Not trying to be overdramatic but I absolutely believe that most pro-abortion people would be okay with killing off people with disabilities under some bullshit pretense of easing their suffering.

Preach. I’ve seen with my own eyes the devastating impact of an ableist rhetoric.

So have I. My parents were told that I would have absolutely no quality of life, even though my condition is operable. I'm in my second year of college now, and doing fantastic.

I will grant you there is a lot of ableism around people’s individual decisions about whether or not to terminate a pregnancy. But would you like it to be the case that women die because their medical well being is legally considered to be of equal significance to the unborn?

I realize the coven of ancient pedophiles who tell you what to believe have led you to make such a crazy statement, but damn girl, resist that brainwashing just a little and realize that a woman is more than an incubator for the next generation of priest molestation victims.

I don't think it's ableism because the fetus just plain doesn't even have consciousness at all, so if it dies, it's as if it never existed in the first place. At that point it's like killing a bacteria. We do that all the time with no guilt cause it's got no conscience

I mean, if I'm being honest, the idea of killing an unborn baby makes me sad, but so does the idea of a woman being forced to carry that child and build her life around them when she may not be ready to or even ever want to have a baby. Adoption is not a great option either

I may be infertile, but if I ever got pregnant, I'd just have to abort. I don't trust myself to take care of it and a life in an orphanage with slim odds to ever have a half decent home to go to is much worse than just never living at all. I'd rather never have conscience
