    The result of "presidential harassment" was that Republicans won 223 seats in 1998 to Dems' 211. The Senate remained unchanged. (Democrats did claim four new Senate seats in 2000, but a lot of good it did them.)

    I'm trying to figure how to phase it so people begin understand how dumb of a take this is. Republicans won 10 Senate races last night (so far). Democrats won 22. Democrats won the "Senate popular vote," and they also won the vast majority of Senate races. This is totally normal

    Republicans lost the popular vote in Senate races by over 15 percentage points, but still gained two seats. Our country is not a democracy.

    the amendments floridians put into the constitution will screw this state way, way more than whoever is in the governor's mansion could. we voted to increase state expenditures while decreasing revenue AND making it almost impossible to ever increase revenue going forward
