I launched a project last month somewhat quietly, & today I wanted to make a more public announcement in hopes you'll join me in supporting it. It's a pretty big undertaking, but it's already seeing results.

[Pssst: Republicans Senators treat cops like shit and don't want a cop's death investigated. Doesn't matter that they voted for Trump. It's really not "unbelievable."]

it's particularly bad for people who create AE templates because they're selling products to people like me and then getting all these complaints that their files are corrupt. i assure you, it's Adobe that screwed this up.

I've put up with bugs in Premiere & After Effects that have existed for years, and years, and years — ones that the forums are full of threads from people all experiencing the same errors. They never get fixed. Will this push me over the edge to learn Resolve/Blender? Maybe!

Awhile ago Adobe pushed an update to After Effects that basically breaks its compatibility with any old project files or templates with an inscrutable error message. Did today's update fix that? Nope! And their official fix is "replace all the media in the project"

there was a time when news organizations stood boldly against threats by the government to silence them with threats of legal sanctions. there have been many famous movies about that time! that time has apparently passed.

WATCH: “I’m sick of hearing all of you… you’re sick, you don’t pay taxes, you’re probably immigrant…” An openly bigoted woman harasses gay teens on the ALCOA, TN bridge and spraypaints over their rainbow. 🏳️‍🌈

We talk a lot about news outlets repeating police claims and canonizing those statements as fact, but they do it with corporations all the time, too. NBC News is usually better than this.

The Karl Malone story came out before there were any outlets particularly equipped to cover it—the word "blog" hadn't even been coined yet, let alone any actual sports blogs—so you'll notice if you search any sports site for "Karl Malone" "13 year old" there's basically nothing.

The idea that any public official — let alone a Democrat — could have watched the 1/6 commission vote and still say this sentence would be laughable if it weren't repeatedly about the ability of our institutions to protect the future of democracy.

Again, the lede here is not that some nutjob made a ridiculous claim but that Republican House members invited this testimony and then applauded & praised it.

Florida once had its own version of the Tulsa race massacre. And Ron DeSantis is doing his best to keep Florida kids from ever learning about it

This year, Bracy was able to get $1 million in state funding for a film about the 1920 Ocoee Election Day Massacre. The film — pitched as “an honest recognition of our past” — would have narrated how African Americans in the tiny citrus town of Ocoee were killed, beaten and driven from their homes by white mobs angered by a Black man who had helped Black citizens register to vote and pay poll taxes.

Bracy said there was a plan in motion to get the film shown in Florida classrooms and to a wider, national audience through other platforms. He said a “major distribution” deal for the film was in the works.

FDOT's statement that the Sarasota denial was due solely to the unique nature of that bridge is now blown completely up by the state denying Jacksonville, too. Republicans in this state have been trying to shut down Pride events for 20 years now. This is just their latest move.

“What's involved in changing the lighting on just the Ringling Bridge, it's a major effort,” FDOT spokesman Brian Rick said. “It doesn't happen quickly. It (lighting request denial) has a lot to do with how that bridge is designed. It's very different. It has its own unique configuration.”
