  1. Prikvačeni tweet

    Q: why do JS numbers- A: IEEE-754 Q: ok but when I add- A: IEEE-754 Q: fine but NaN doesn't even- A: Aye. Triple-E. Seven five four.

  2. I don't have a sound cloud, but you can try my TS/JS libraries for Azure and give me feedback 😁 I also wrote guidelines for Azure's TypeScript libraries that might be of interest:

  3. TypeScript devs: Nothing says you have to name type parameters like T, U, etc. You can use good names! The sky is the limit!

  5. Yeah. Along with something like "your brain is like a steel trap, you know and remember everything". It was not a compliment. It's been 15 years since I got this feedback and I still consider it when I communicate. You can be smart and effective without making others feel stupid.

  8. I once watched a construction worker outside my office start his day with a giant pile of dirt next to a hole, spend hours shoveling by hand, and then end his day with both gone. It seems so... satisfying? Anyhow I think about this a lot.

  9. Its 4:30 on a Friday. Also apparently the perfect time for builds to very mysteriously start breaking themselves.

  10. Agree with this, fwiw. Azure SDK guidelines call for avoiding default exports because they are often more problematic than they're worth, especially with TypeScript.

  11. Ideas so far: * Back up/restore/share configurations (key bindings, macros, etc.) * IoT Hub integration. Keys submit events that can trigger CI/CD etc. Device twinning can be used to update keyboard state like indicator lights. * Azure Identity and Keyvault, obvs. Your ideas?

  12. Twitter, help me design my Azure-connected keyboard. (Yes, I know the idea is ridiculous, it's for fun) Basics: esp32 MCU with lots of room to work with, wifi, bluetooth, etc. Firmware implemented in JS. Configuration via web interface. Keys can trigger custom JS callbacks.

  13. Journal of Alien Anthropology: Earth Civilization Felled by Complexity "Careful analysis of a data cache found on Earth's pole tells of humanity producing systems of such complexity that their primitive brains couldn't comprehend what they made. Eventual collapse was inevitable."

  18. Made with an esp32 dev board, TLC5947 LED driver, (including sage advice from ), and ~300 lines of JS. Forgot to mention that it's actually a bluetooth numpad, though sadly chained down with a USB cable for the time being.

A lot of people have been excited about type-only imports/exports coming in TypeScript 3.8. The truth is that you shouldn't really need them most of the time (or maybe even ever).
