Eh, it depends on what you're going after. If it's an early stage SaaS company with good metrics and you know the team/have strong references, it isn't hard to get to a yes. There's a lot more reneging on term sheets now too. It's all early stage; if you're talking growth, agree

Agree there are exceptional cases where you know the market (“prepared mind”), preexisting relationship w/team, can line up stellar reference checks immediately, and diligence the strategy/economics/tech w/in 1.3 weeks, but that is not nor should it be the rule.
