Funnily enough, apparently women aren't allowed to play in mens football because there was a player in the 40's/50's and all the men were terrified of playing against her.
Why are sports gender segregated due to the idea that men have a specific physical advantage over women, but no other body type is controlled for? Isn't it discriminatory against short people that all basketball players are tall? Where's the short person's basketball league?

If anything, sport could be made *fairer* if we didn't arbitrarily separate male/female but some more relevant measure pertaining to the sport in question (like height in basketball).

Reminds me of reading about Michael Phelp’s massive armspan, double jointed ankles and how his body produces about half the lactic acid to an average person - how is this not an unfair biological advantage that should disqualify him, when it is for trans and intersex ppl? Bull.

Also I play in a team contact sport that is known for being mixed genders and specifically welcomes trans players. NEVER had any problems. At all.
