Just a reminder with Omicron spreading that there is currently no national requirement that American employers give workers paid time off if they feel sick

Financially compelling sick employees to come in anyway, increasing risk to other employees, seems like an issue @OSHA is way overdue in addressing. For that matter, licensing boards for healthcare should crack down on practitioners who don't provide paid sick leave for emp.

Even if short term disability is offered: A co-worker had to use her short term disability while 6 months pregnant because she got covid. :/ worked for the company several years and didn’t have enough time saved up for both things.

Facts. I’m debating getting the booster b/c I’ve burned thru sick and pto leave. If that shjt gets me down, I can’t take time off. So I’ll get it after the 1st of the year. Cheers!!!

I opted to get the booster over Thanksgiving just because I would already have time off. I was perhaps not smart in doing this because I think the booster plus 20 hours of driving in four days was a little too much for my immune system. 1/
