    Like I say, watch their hands, not just their mouth. As soon as the language of inclusion and equity is mainstream it becomes less useful for reading where folks are at. But actual interactions over time = it.

    In addition to Larson, the entire board of elders has stepped down. This is a powerful acknowledgement of wrong doing in how they handled Hybel’s conduct and treated his victims. The question now is what steps WCCC will take to address the culture that allowed this to happen?

    It’s painful to watch her try and get these words out through her tears but I also recognize and mourn that this is all coming later than each of Hybel’s victims deserved. The Church’s understanding of sex, consent, and masculinity is toxic and heartbreaking.

    Livestream of statement coming out of Willow Creek Church right now. Honestly, it pains me that a clergywoman is put in a position where she has to speak a statement of repentance on behalf of her church because of Bill Hybel‘s actions.
