I’ve known many young academic organizers, artists, thinkers struggle w/ WHAT TO DO professionally and socially outside of the format of an institution. Granted many want to work in institutions (or at least say as much), but almost all wouldn’t know what to do outside of them.

...as I said, there’s so many benefits even in the face of horrific debt, eurocentrism, rape culture, abuse etc. We should be going for these systems that violently institutionalize culture and learning, make it inaccessible, punish those who won’t/can’t access, not each other
