@DougTataryn's distinction between emotion and feeling which is similar to yours. for him "emotions" are patterns of physiological activation (e.g. "anger" to refer to the physiological pattern of gearing up to fight) and "feelings" are patterns of meaning1 reply 0 retweets 4 likes -
so whereas "i feel angry" expresses an emotion, "i feel betrayed" expresses a feeling; "betrayal" is a pattern of meaning one can attach to a situation which then generates emotions like anger importantly, in this model (as far as i can tell) feelings / meanings come *first*

I *really* like this distinction, and will be totes adopting it. For the Bio-Emotive framework, Is there a seminal blog post or book that goes along with this well carved definition?
