I need a name for when the "thing being claimed being claimed makes it less likely to be true". E.g.: "I'm very famous." "I'm extremely socially savvy." "I'm in control." "I am not a murderer." "This is not a Ponzi scheme."

It's not the same thing, but a related phenomenon is what I call the adjective rule: Invert any adjectives in the name of a product. (e.g. something that describes itself as premium is almost certainly garbage)
