_Meaningness_, the book, is weirdly bimodal. It clicks for some readers; others find it nonsensical.
I'd like to test a hypothesis from @andy_matuschak: it makes sense to meditators.
Do you meditate? Does it make sense? (Please don't answer unless you've attempted to read.)

Replying to @Meaningness @andy_matuschak
"clicked; no-med" b/c it clicked for me back in 2016 when I hadn't really done much meditation. Probably wouldn't've clicked before 2015. Hard to say exactly what made that difference. My 2016 meaningness deep-dive was inspired by an acute need for more fluid collaboration.

I'm guessing meaningness clicks iff you've had meta-experience X, which many people get through meditation but not everybody does, and it can also be acquired elsewise. What is X? A glimpse of fluid mode? Some spark of the reality of nebulosity? Experience of limits of system?

my X was my system / life-plan breaking. I remember being afraid of meaningness' fantasies of control section. because I needed things to work out. rather calming once I did read them. sort of "things will go on happening" "I can't fall out of the universe" feels.
