1/ I'm reflecting on this tweetstorm I wrote a couple days ago and noticing that while I still stand by the content that's in there (and many people resonate with it) it was incomplete: It gave only one sentence to why I'm excited about the thing!https://twitter.com/Malcolm_Ocean/status/1128537889954988032 …

2/ So I'm intentionally writing a second thread about I.I.

Too late to do "create before you critique" because I already critiqued, but never too late to create!https://twitter.com/cosimia_/status/1128766875066744832 …Malcolm 🙃cean added,

3/ I made a conscious decision in 2017 to get back on Twitter, inspired by a sense I had that if I tweaked my online behavior slightly, I could build all sorts of relationships with amazing people! And that has worked

any particular tweaks that spring to mind?
this reminds me of visa's thread on how to reply real good. support the op, with a twist or "yes, and"1 reply 0 retweets 1 like -

Yeah
@visakanv has the best advice I'm aware of on the topic. The main tweak for me was simply taking the time to actually engage a little in conversations that interested me. This thing below is my main tip, though it isn't something I changed in 2017:https://twitter.com/Malcolm_Ocean/status/1168902984539004928 …Malcolm 🙃cean added,

By contrast, for someone who is off-twitter and wanting to get (back) on, I'd actually recommend they intentionally install the twitter app on their phone so they can get hooked back into it more easily than having to go to https://twitter.com on their computer.1 reply 0 retweets 2 likes -

I really wanted "use twitter on the computer" to be true for me. you get tabs on desktop. type with a actual keyboard. I deleted the twitter app. just didn't work. my idle musing self is much more cosy, on the couch with my phone. feels too work-like on my laptop. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

...solution: learn to love work & feel cozy doing it?
