One slightly surprising side-effect of more embodied awareness is that I eat far, far less food than before. I can't eat more than two meals a day, often just one. It just feels terrible. Overall almost halved my food consumption.

atm, I'm on / off working through pleasurable weight loss. all about rebuilding your relationship with pleasure. enjoying being in your body. seems similar.

Sounds like a good approach. No comments there. What you're describing is pretty close to one of the core parts of tantra. I meditated really a lot. Really quite a lot. Over many years. I'm sure you could also have similar effects with diligent practice over shorter time spans.
