I wonder why. It's v. mentally taxing to maintain two levels. your personality is a mix of subagents anyway the one that gets fed grows stronger. kinda implies that "hostile" takeover of "me" is going on already.

Something to do with creating and reinforcing priors around your concept of self identity / perceived competencies maybe. The good news is that you can find, make and try on more enjoyable and useful masks and, over time, become more like them too!
