Twitter as a company is culturally oriented around NOW. Product reflects this. The Twitter users who search their own and others timelines for building webs of threads are hacking the platform to build a collaborative Memex (memory extension) Eventually those users will migrate

There isn’t really any typical session, I just do whatever I feel like doing. I probably do a lot more searches than most people do

(I have lots more questions… where do you & other threaded Twitter folks spend most of your time? On your own timeline? On others'? In lists? Do you have different "defaults", like quoted replies rather than direct replies? Do you consciously plan the graph structure of tweets?)

I do this with a custom Chrome (Brave actually) search engine. - tw searches twitter - twm searches twitter with from:malcolm_ocean pre-typed - twv searches twitter with from:visakanv (just added that last one but have been meaning to for awhile)pic.twitter.com/PcESmEHzDk
