anyone else experience this?: sometimes in dreams, objects lack detail and I can't focus on them. but last night I tried meditating on a small cherry blossom in the distance and it acquired detail and morphed (becoming a woman's face, acquiring makeup, becoming a whole person)

It was great having mediation & dreams connected like that "i had no idea you could use it that way" They were in very separate buckets till now. I tried last night but I think i need more sporadic meditation during the day for it to trigger in dreams.
I had a dream once where I used focusing to flirt with marie curie. It was similarly strange to have mostly asexual science history connected to my desires. Also using a introspection technique to come onto someone felt bonkers.

I heard about a lady that when lucid she would ask the characters in her dream what they were trying to teach her and they'd tell her.

I once asked someone in a dream what it was like to be a character in someone else's dream. He said "So you know when you're doing some hobby you really enjoy?" (... I'm thinking - ?? - where is he going with this?) "... and you're really caught up in it? It's like that!"
