My greatest frustration in content production is that my low effort projects are almost always far more successful than my high effort ones.
imho, worthwhile question to ask: success in terms of views and clicks or success in terms of value for viewers

A fair point. I guess the frustration comes from things you feel provide value to viewers being less viewed than those that provide less.
