Interesting! Are there popular MMOs out there that don't have a significant element of grinding? I think of grinding as 1/

content that people can focus on while hanging out, basically a focal point to enable socializing. 2/

From that perspective I've viewed it as an essential inclusion; some kind of endless content that friends can center around 3/end

i think its difficult to describe grinding as an inclusive design choice as it heavily relies off the pacing of the players

there is grinding like leveling from 1 to max, there is also grinding in relation to progression in professions, pve content

or pvp content. There are also quests more universally considered grinding (get 80 of a 10% drop chance item)

if every wow player played one hour a day forever with a large amount of content would we still consider it grindy? I dontknow

i personally dont find WoW very grindy in a grand scheme. It has its moments but mostly avoidable, different strokes4difffolks
