but ai, pathing, unlimited unit select, etc make it much less. having more units almost a control advantage. higher ceiling

we had very few super units in sc1 tho, but they definitely were used more and to a better degree than in LOTV

thanks :-) I think with lotv's engine, units that are slow and just get a-moved (e.g. carriers) don't work as well 1/

b/c less micro potential, conflicts with balance through infinite skill ceiling. too much pressure on designer to balance perfectly

unit ends up either imba or underpowered (usually latter imo given blizz esports focus). difficult for designer to perfect balance
