its most likely too many things to do no cohesion no checking overwhelmed workers... kinda like when u play ladder and constantly be supply blocked
It'd be hard to convince me that the way Blizzard is dropping the ball with StarCraft - e.g. excluding it from the Blizzcon recap - is aligned with either the company's short-term or long-term interests. And I definitely don't understand how it creates shareholder value.

Yeah, I mean, you're right, it's probably just a careless oversight. But I'm wondering whether it and other missteps are the natural consequences of the strategic decision to "focus", which changes people's incentives and how they evaluate their own work.

Yeah I agree. There are probably many internal issues and they show with mistakes like that. Probably some workflow issues ever since many members got laid off

im not gonna try to convince you otherwise, but im optimistic next year the starcraft family will have a more wholesome experience. until then im looking forward to all the recaps of all the upcoming big events.

I think it might be an exaggeration to say they are dropping the ball -- the recap video was a mistake, but the production for the global finals was overall excellent and in line with expectation. (Which costs money.)
