I mean, Fallout 4's biggest detriment was how shit the writing, world building, immersion etc all were, I actually kind of respect Bethesda's decision to say "fuck all this" and just focus on the nuts and bolts of "walk around pick stuff up and occasionally combat"
was never able to get into it, sadly. Enjoyed fallout 3 and new vegas a lot. though nothing will top that "well you're on your own, good luck" message from Morrowind. That feeling when I saw that!

I think RDR2 is the first game since Morrowind to give me those feels. Turning off the HUD/minimap and exploring the world, and how rich the interactions can feel, is a monumental achievement. And in retrospect makes what Bethesda achieved with Morrowing that much more impressive
