Gotcha, interesting. I've had a similar experience on YT. Durable engagement on the platform (subscribes) is a tiny percentage of the engagement on Reddit. So even a good-performing Reddit post has minimal durable impact.
I am starting to suspect (with very little evidence though) that Twitter and Facebook function in a similar way. Audiences on those platforms grow relative to content created on those platforms, not overall across all platforms. But just a guess.

I don’t even bother tweeting my streams anymore. I tweet events cast mostly out of courtsey to players being covered/event organizers but it’s rare to get more than 3-4 link clicks, and no idea how long they stick around.

Next year - if I can come up with the content - I'd like to try creating content *for* Twitter and Facebook, instead of just using the platforms as conduits for other content. And see what happens, if anything.
