      @jaffathecake Interesting. Offline is a feature, strictly speaking, but I see how it can be seen as "something complicated."

      @ppk @jaffathecake being able to pull people back to your website with push hugely outweighs PE, offline first. It's not about complicated.

      @rikschennink @ppk I frequently tap notifications only to have the action fail due to connectivity. So that's a failed 'pull'.

      @rikschennink @ppk and I disagree that it's outweighed. Remember the first iPhone lacked features, but it did what it did well.

      @rikschennink @ppk as an industry, we spend more time cramming features in than improving the features we have, and it's a shame

      @jaffathecake However, one of the conclusions I drew is that browser vendors, too, should stop adding new features for a while.

      @ppk I think it's a balance, and depends on what you'd call a feature.

      @jaffathecake It's complicated. But I think browser vendors should show some restraint in adding new stuff for a while - say, a year or so.

      @ppk @jaffathecake As well as improving existing features, fixing existing bugs would also be a good thing.

      @iandevlin @jaffathecake Yup. Agreed. No new stuff for a while, but bug fixes, documentation, and allowing other browsers to catch up.

      @ppk @iandevlin @jaffathecake see I don't think it worked out bad at all. Limitation spurs creativity, I remember that period quite fondly
