Ross Dothan's NYTimes column about "The Redistribution of Sex" is a great example of why people who are not well-versed in sexuality as a field should not be writing about topics as fraught as incels and their violent demands of more sexual gratification from women.

Not convinced
#incels are dangerous? Read this old reddit post suggesting how incels should be assigned (or "redistributed"
) women to sleep with by govt.
"Every time a woman sleeps with a new man, she loses one rank on her sexual-market value card."https://twitter.com/chick_in_kiev/status/990235360209915905 …

Lack of sex is the symptom, misogyny is the disease. This article tries to indicate the opposite. If we gave incels sex robots they wouldn't magically have less toxic views about women.

Ppsssst. If no woman will sleep with them... they could sleep with *each other*.pic.twitter.com/r7vYnxTTCq

Off the top of my head (in addition to the woman columnists you already know of),
@justinbaldoni does great work in prompting men to rethink masculinity in a way that is better and healthier for both women and men. Take a listen to his TED talk. -
I have! I coincidentally work for TED. Justin's amazing.

You Had One Job
@jessicabennett - literally! It must be great to have a job where you get to just pick and choose whatever your responsibilities happen to be that day -
This isn't at all Jessica's fault, they're separate verticals. But I hope we'll see some coverage of this conversation done right soon.

Hi! Longtime single woman here! Living in NYC I had dozens of beautiful talented self-sufficient female friends who are also chronically single with long dry spells. We also have dozens of sexual horror stories about being treated terribly. Yet somehow we're not murdering guys...

I dumped my
@nytimes sub in 2017 - Does the article even touch on how many women might be afraid hooking up with men due to past traumatic experiences? Because that's been my personal experience. I might want to hook-up but am afraid of being hurt physically or humiliated.

I'm a sex therapist / sex worker & I work with a number of clients who identify as "incel"
I wrote about my experience & my philosophy of the Bonobo Way here in Counterpunch:https://www.counterpunch.org/2018/05/04/incel-therapy-bonobo-style/ …Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

2) ...women often (not all) tend to see their goal as "getting laid by someone who's also kind and interesting to be with" and this makes it harder to find...yet they still don't kill. Finding a compatible person, EVEN just for gettin' it on, can be complicated. Most accept this.

In my late20s/30s I couldn't find a decent man. At. All. Most guys that were sharp, clean, had a job and without addictions were interested in women much younger and hotter than I was. It was a sad decade before I met my husband. Been there, there's no excuse for these guys.

You can bet your chosen body part that incels would be a prostitute's nightmare customer: determined to get his own way and ignore her boundaries, reluctant to pay the full rate, and then afterwards complaining about the level of service.

You know I have gone without a sexual partner for years several times in my life and A) Didn't consider it anyone's fault.; B) Didn't demand the right to have sex with everyone I wanted to have it with; and C) Didn't feel the need to kill anybody to express my non-existent rage.
