There was an instance where a white male exec on the digital biz team dressed up in a chicken suit, with gold chains, sagging pants + rapped to our entire biz org as a meeting “kickoff” — HR was present + laughing Myself + other Black employees went to HR. That man was not fired

There’s a video of this — we showed HR. They saw it + sent a lil email out vaguely addressing it.

The amount of hours I was expected to commit as a media planner was INSANE — Theu gave me west coast + Itali AND American fashion. That meant 3am for Italy until 11/12pm for west coast I was expected to + did basically live in that office. I was there on Saturday + Sunday

I don’t need any pity or any things from conde. I’m sharing because I realize a lot of their employees are currently furloughed or signed NDAs as a stipulation for severance + may not be at liberty to speak up.

Re: hours — July 4th weekend 2017 all of my senior leadership went OOO + left me to launch Jay’s 444 takeover on vogue — I was in the house crying the entire weekend bcuz I couldn’t get ahold of anyone for the contracts/approvals after emailing + calling hourly

As a media planner it was my job to have legal review + sign all media contracts — legal missed a wrong $ amount + signed. We had to honor it that incorrect $ amount to the client. Guess who got put on a PIP + blamed for the oversight??? Not the Dir of Biz Affairs who signed it

I was recruited to conde. I had already held a previous media role at one of the world’s largest media agencies + worked for 3 other publications prior My white counterparts had no prior relevant experience, just nepotism. Black employees were overqualified + underpaid

Someone from edit could probably better articulate this — but I observed how Black fashion interns + freelancers were hardly hired PT/FT as staff Black fashion/creative talent would be contracted freelancers/asst for YEARS w/ FT workloads. Via the ERG we raised this to HR...
