I honestly feel that I prefer this look to neat, regimental rows of 'proper' flowers. Love it.

Rotherham have been doing this for some years now. As well as doing good it always looks lovely.
-
I know aren't you lucky? Just wanted to put it out there and people are wowed about it

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if
@WirralCouncil did likewise? Save money, help wildlife & farmers and make the borough even more beautiful?!@CllrJeffGreen@torycouncillors@WIRRALGLOBENEWS @LauraWirral@Visit_Wirral@CapitalWIRNewsThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

This is brilliant to see, I live in North Somerset and recently all the verges have been mowed, strimmed and insecticide used, appalling.
-
I live there too. Would love to see wild flowers. No idea about the truth of insecticide. But last year they just did nothing and v long grass obscured views dangerously. A managed approach is needed.

I would love to see this replicated throughout the country. A brilliant and beautiful initiative.

I'd like to do this in my own garden, where can I buy a suitable mixture of seeds?
-
Try these. They have a nice selection of mixes. https://thegrasspeople.com/flowering-meadow-wildflower?gclid=Cj0KCQjw6IfoBRCiARIsAF6q06t2CnkRvoGXXjYFT-5tGI0x-54dKeXZFdVv-7WH_JDibbZBoO7stJIaAtULEALw_wcB#138=16 …
