Do not be surprised if we learn in the days ahead that the Trump rioters were infiltrated by leftist extremists. Note: this is not to excuse any of them.

A presidential press conference, no matter who is president, is a forum to ask questions as tough as you like, but don’t argue. And you get one chance, maybe one followup. Your colleagues are waiting their turns. Show them some respect and the president. It’s not about you.
He got elected president.

Name one thing Trump has accomplished that couldn’t be accomplished by President Jeb Bush or Rubio? Just curious.
Mr. Trump pulled out of the Paris Climate Accord and eased Obama-Biden climate regulations, and the U.S. is still leading the world in CO2 reductions.
He lied brazenly over and over. Now newly released documents show Adam Schiff knew all along that there was no proof of Russia-Trump collusion.
From the article: “What is astonishing is that the media has refused to see what should be one of the biggest stories in decades. The Obama administration targeted the campaign of the opposing party based on false evidence.”
A NY Times columnist quits in disgust at what an organ of enforced orthodoxy the paper’s editorial pages have become. Read every word. The ring of truth is unmistakable.
No amount of “great” communicating would make suppressing a newspaper article acceptable, especially since Twitter was for two years an open sewer of misinformation about Trump-Russia collusion.
Fmr. Obama education secretary Arne Duncan was asked repeatedly by Fox’s to cite data in support of his warnings against opening schools. He cited nothing. There’s a reason for that. Nearly all the data point the other way.
Say this for Buttigieg. He’s willing to be questioned by Chris Wallace, something you’ve barely done since you’ve been president. Oh, and covering candidates of both parties is part of the job of a news channel.

Hard to believe that @FoxNews is wasting airtime on Mayor Pete, as Chris Wallace likes to call him. Fox is moving more and more to the losing (wrong) side in covering the Dems. They got dumped from the Democrats boring debates, and they just want in. They forgot the people.....
This is the interview that Youtube suppressed. You can see it here, courtesy of the station that did it in the first place.

Schiff tells Chris Wallace he was unaware of errors and omissions in FBI use of FISA process. Bunk. The much-derided Nunes memo, which Schiff strongly disputed at the time, called attention to these very abuses. Most media, of course, echoed the Schiff version, scoffed at Nunes.
This smear was disgusting the first time around. This attempt to revive it is beyond disgusting and speaks to the dishonesty of leading organs of the mainstream media. They are corrupt. spectator.us/brett-kavanaug

Both Kamala Harris and Elizabeth Warren said on Twitter Friday that Michael Brown was “murdered” by a “white” policeman in Ferguson, Mo. This is an absolute whopper and obviously does nothing to calm racial tension in this country. Yet it’s gotten almost no coverage.
Barr on the right track here. Most in the media went in the other direction.
NYC critical care physician just told Tucker Carlson that he’s been taking Plaquenil to help ward off Covid 19. So far he’s ok. Guess what Plaquenil is: it’s hydroxychloroquine. He added, “if there’s anybody who should have been positive by now, it should have been me.”
Why bother to tweet about this, of all things?

Senate Dems on Kavanaugh.
1. Oppose him almost unanimously from start.
2. Call him “evil.”
3. In hearings, virtually ignore his actual record on the bench.
4. Afterward, leak uncorroborated accusations of sex crimes.
5. When he fights back in anger, attack his “temperament.”

Once again Trump is embroiled in a heated controversy. Once again, it is about something he’s alleged to have said. And once again, his reported comments are at odds with his record, this time on veterans and the military. Such disparities have been a constant in his presidency.
This is a ridiculous tweet. He could get his views across without bragging, endlessly repeating himself, and getting into petty squabbles with the junior varsity players in the WH press corps. And he could stop talking much sooner to give Pence, Fauci, Birx and Giroir more time.

The Wall Street Journal always “forgets” to mention that the ratings for the White House Press Briefings are “through the roof” (Monday Night Football, Bachelor Finale, according to @nytimes) & is only way for me to escape the Fake News & get my views across. WSJ is Fake News!
Shouldn’t these stories contain the obligatory phrase “without evidence,” as the so often do when it’s Trump making the accusation?

I wonder if things might have turned out differently for Liz Cheney if she'd used her seat on the 1/6 committee to insist on cross-examination of witnesses and a chance for the defense to present its side. Instead she led the charge for an utterly one-sided presentation.
Legitimate question my a**. It was the kind of bullsh*t gotcha question which hack WH reporters have been asking for decades. But instead of going off on the reporter, Trump should have said the whole briefing in all its particulars was a message to people who are scared.

Reporters love to say it’s the role of the press to hold the government accountable. The idea gives them power. But it’s the role of the voters and their elected representatives to hold government accountable. It’s the job of the press to provide the public information.

In fact, no country on earth has done more to overcome racial prejudice both in law and practice. Indeed, racism today is nearly universally rejected in America, which is why the left tries so hard to pin the label on its political opponents.
