Nope. Still mad. The idea that these tech bros think creators should give up the copyright to work after 30 years, and Bezos and Zuckerberg et get to collect billions forever…it really says a thing.

Can we at least give authors a living wage before we abolish copyright? 🙄

UGH. I realize this is a first world problem but I hate when zippers do this, and with this one it’s CONSTANT. I can’t get it free at all.

(And the reason I mention the partner is that it really does help to constantly support each other and remind each other that you're learning all this TOGETHER, because otherwise you can easily feel like you're climbing uphill alone.) *leaps off soapbox*

I just do not understand this expectation that REFUSES TO DIE that new mothers owe everyone every single piece of themselves. If you've had a baby, your only obligation is to yourself, your baby, and your partner, if you have one. Period. The end. Everyone else can suck it.

I still remember this new grandmother who went on a RANT in another author's reading group because her daughter-in-law was being ungrateful and wanted to sleep when the baby was sleeping, instead of staying up and being cordial since the grandmother/MIL was there to help.

Holy cow. Can we just leave new mothers alone, please? It's 2021. If exhausted parents want to save time and announce a birth on Facebook, they can announce a birth on Facebook. Not everyone needs a personal phone call about it.

Just a quick tweet to say: your queer identity is valid, whether it’s in your bio or not. Whether you talk about it online or not. Whether you’re loud or quiet about it. Whether you include it in the art you make or no. It’s your choice when and how to share it. 💖🌈
