Also the delegates will be split basically evenly between Bernie and Pete. Maybe a 14-12 split or a 13-13 split. With a full split that’s like 13-13-8-6-1. Like, getting the exact SDE count isn’t totally relevant at this point.

Again, I thought she was great in this town hall. I mean, it probably doesn’t matter in the end, but whatever

All the little human errors here and there will get cleaned up thanks to the paper trail, but some folks will want a winner "declared" We've waited this long, may as well just be understanding that there's more to do and just take what reasonable insights we can from what we get

We're headed to a moment here whenever final results come in where news outlets will face a very difficult choice. Buttigieg and Sanders are so close, and there's still a lot of minor discrepancies (which is normal) that still need to be cleared up

Welcome to Trump 2.0, folks. Meanwhile, Treasury has refused for a year to follow the black letter law which requires turning Trump's tax returns over to Congress.

We can — and should — be so much better than we are at this.

So it requires a support system: doctors, trainers, coaches, schools, bosses at work, family, who are willing to help you take your mind off the short term bullshit that’s a part of everyday life and allow the patient to put their long-term health first and heal.

It’s a brain injury — it’s totally terrifying. One moment your world is normal, and the next moment, it’s not. Your world is off; maybe a little bit or maybe a lot. And even worse, it’s an injury that’s mostly invisible to others.

The vast, vast majority of people with concussions will end up fine — totally back to regular life. But most of the time, when these things become long-term problems, it’s because the support system around them failed.

And that’s why it’s so painful when you watch professional sports games and see medical staffs let players with head injuries back into the game. Or where they aren’t even interested in checking a player to see if they are actually injured.

It’s really HARD for patients to make the long-term risk assessment in the heat of the moment. But this isn’t an ankle sprain, the risks of “just going back out there” are soooo much greater.

of thinking that anything you have to do in the short-term matters. And the likelihood is frankly, that it doesn’t. And that’s where, I think, independent evaluators are so important. Whether it’s family members, or athletic trainers, or independent evaluators at NFL games...

Not allowing your brain to heal can have knock on effects far beyond anything you could imagine in the moment — trust me, I know — and yet humans are really bad at intuitive risk assessment and mental calculations, and it’s so easy (and SO human and normal) to fall into the trap

...ensuring that your brain doesn’t take anymore trauma and can start to heal. Your brain controls almost everything. Vision, light/noise sensitivity, balance, mood, memory, language, critical thinking, other autonomic processing, etc.
