🔝 of the morning! I'm proofreading these tweet carefully... because I'm up next on CNN's @NewDay, talking about W.H. sloppiness...https://twitter.com/rschooley/status/997957665362821120 …

The point here, btw, is not that Trump made a typo, it’s that the gaffe prone President’s tweets still go out without any proofreading or failsafe step. We’re used to it now but it’s still ridiculous.

☝ Didja catch that? Yes, it was on purpose. The point: Typos distract from the message. If you can't get the small stuff right, what about the big stuff?http://www.snappytv.com/tc/8000725/5555034 …

CNN reduced to reporting inanity like this? You and your colleagues have single-handedly presided over the destruction of what used to be one of the most trusted brands in news. The channel that brought the 1991 Gulf War into our living rooms is now a tabloid-like joke. RIP.

Bingo. However, name spelling is not small stuff. In j-school we learned it could make the difference between a lawsuit and no lawsuit. At very least, spelling people's names correctly is a sign of caring about them as people. If I had a husband who didn't spell my name right...?
