Perhaps the problem here is that they were caught. Clearly that is their biggest regret.

That's exactly what I think every time I see one of these 'heartfelt' CEO apologies.

As @kausmickey once pointed out, when a CEO or politician "takes responsibility" for something what he's really saying is "now leave me alone."

Sociopaths* never take responsibility for anything. They’re so narcissistic they think they are above rules, laws and ethics. They are successful because they are conscienceless, and therefore experts at exploitation.

Don’t you love when the CEO takes “full responsibility” and in the same breath announces that someone associated with the “mistake” will be retiring.

When ATT hired Cohen: It wanted Cohen to lobby the Prez It knew Cohen wasn't a legit lobbyist & wouldn't file reports. They knew he'd break the law doing their bidding It paid into a no-name LLC, the defn of skeevy Maybe lawful ATT; in no way legit @marceelias @Johnson_DavidW

I won't compromise my freedom, friend. I know in my heart that democratic VOTERS mean well, but I believe, i know, they are working against the very cause they are fighting for. Lower taxes, less welfare, more jobs, more freedom.

While AT&T and Novartis toss Cohen under the bus, Trump revs the hugest bus of all buses, a big, golden Trump bus and points it in the direction of his D-team consigliere.
