Correspondents association's POV: Trump is probably just venting, trying to distract, but his talk of revoking credentials had to be addressed. It would be an "unconscionable assault on the First Amendment."https://cnnmon.ie/2rvNhKd

Hey WHCA - Why then did you cower in fear & apologize after a comedian called out this administration's repeated dishonesties? Your unquenchable desire for more access to these professional liars has turned you into a punchline.

They had sterner words about a comedian.

A comedian who literally made the exact same points through her roast...

Balderdash, humbug & other rude comments Nothing in the 1st Amendment says the W.H. has to allow reporters inside the W.H. In fact in not too distant past they were made to stand outside Not giving W.H. credentials to reporters is in no way, or form a Constitutional violation

documentation teabagger Rush Limbaugh isn't documentation

1st Amendment says press is free to report on President or anyone else they want to, as much as they want to. There is no clause that says the President or anyone else is obliged to talk to them. If I am in error, feel free to correct me.

-
That is nice. Still does not mean the President or anyone on his staff has to talk to them, nor does it mean they cannot just stop issuing any press passes. Not that long ago the press had to stand outside the gates of the W.H. There is no Constitutional requirement to talk.
-
By “not that long ago” I assume you mean the early 1900s. I’m curious as to what you expect would happen, though. Do you think there’s a glut of good news out there that’s somehow been heretofore suppressed?

I'm still waiting for Journos to find their balls & tell the Trump admin they're not going to support these charades of press conferences anymore. No more trump administrators on news shows & no more free airtime for trump period until his administration starts telling the truth.

So, let me get this straight: The
#WHCA won't tolerate Trump calling news outlets "fake news", but they also condemn Michelle Wolf for pointing the administration's dishonesty out through her comedy? - 1 more reply

Wonder if her statement includes "Satirists at the WHPC Dinner must be able to report on the the good, the bad, the momentus and the mundane without fear or favor?" She wants to bar such people in the future. Hypocrisy much?

Momentous. Left out the o.
