Buying/selling access to a president is not illegal... but it has the stench of the "swamp" that Trump rails against. Here's our updated storyhttps://cnnmon.ie/2wr81HG

There was a reason these entities made the payments to an LLC set up only weeks before the election that entered into a hush money agreement. The Russian-backed company claims it was for real estate advice. Believe that and there's a bridge I'd like to sell you in Brooklyn.

And real estate advice from Cohen?! Fashion advice would make as much sense.

SCOTUS ruled 8-0 in Bob McDonnell's corruption case that it unfortunately is not illegal to accept bribes for merely 'access'

Incorrect. Michael Cohen was not registered as a lobbyist. This was illegal.

Selling access to a public servant is not illegal? Doesn’t smell right. What if part of the payment made its way to the public servant?

If it’s just “access” money maybe it’s not illegal but if it’s quid-pro-quo to influence a merger approval or change a policy then that’s a different story. And, if it’s money to pay off other women for services rendered to executives at those companies, well then . . .

You’re conceding that it was Cohen doing the selling when there are no facts to support that. Bribery is illegal & there is evidence Trump benefitted directly from payments to the company.

No but it’s a crime when an American President takes money from a foreign adversary in exchange for favorable policy change. It’s pretty clear Trump is a traitor that’s why he is considering taking the fifth. He has no choice!
