In even more chilling version of Sinclair's directives to anchors, @NBC reportedly pressured female staffers to sign a letter backing Brokaw and then sent a memo to anchors urging them to report the letter on-air. It sure does mean something! It means it is even more suspect for NBC to tell anchors to report on the fact that 60 women HAVE signed.
-
Last time I counted, it was 115, not 60. Mentioning the letter in NBC's coverage is a normal example of "balance" to a story. Also worth noting: NBC's newsroom has taken the allegations seriously and covered the story thoroughly
-
I'm citing the NBC memo which told anchors to mention "more than 60."
-
Well the letter went from 60 on Fri to 115 on Sat. My Sat story said 115. So I guess NBC News didn't do a good job "coordinating" and "pressuring," cuz Monday's memo had way outdated information.

Nope, I said his rants are a "gift to racists." There's a difference

Would Brian be singing the same tune if the letters were F-O-X instead of N-B-C? Of course not. Tells you all you need to know.
-
Brian is having a rough week. It's tough trying to coordinate all this BS to crowd out all the great Trump stuff going on.

Most women probably don't know Tom Brokaw

You'd think, Brian, in this
#MeToo
moment that this serious claim would vigorously be investigated. This supposed letter got press coverage b/c of who signed it. On a more basic level, CNN rushes to air w/stories being reported by papers all the time w/o your own confirmation - 1 more reply

If it was a letter about
#Trump I'm sure you'd try harder to find out.#disingenuous#hackpic.twitter.com/kD3yuLlmJrThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

How dare you defend that network! You screamed for Fox News to fire
@seanhannity because he had a lawyer in common with the President but now you are defending@NBCNews for exerting pressure on women to defend a sexual harasser.#FakeNewsThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Your own reporting? Like when you claimed Trump was mentally unfit, then when called out on it you denied it by selectively searching for your own words while half of Twitter dug up videos and tweets of you claiming Trump was mentally unfit? How do you even take yourself serious?

Psst. You never did any REAL reporting. You work for

"I don't have any of my own reporting." is such a cop out. Never stopped you before. You'd go to press with what's already out there if it were any conservative outlet or host.

If a man assaults a woman and can get 115 co-workers to say he’s a nice guy does that mean he didn’t assault anyone?
