A lot of pearl clutching going on among journalists, it seems. I mean look - @SarahHuckabee treats the press with complete and total disdain and disrespect. She lies constantly and has made a mockery of the job. So to pearl clutch over calling her a liar in a joke is a bit much.

To be honest, I feel like the setback for journalism is what's happening today, where journalists of integrity are falling into the troll trap of false outrage. Her looks were not insulted. Her lies were. And --

Why would a comedian's jokes be a "setback for journalism"? And would you also say that these tweets by Trump are a setback for Republicans?https://twitter.com/NewsCorpse/status/990654467065368577 …

What's more, just a couple hours before the WHCD, Trump actually admitted that his son and campaign colluded with a Russian spy. Why isn't that the top news of the day?http://www.newscorpse.com/ncWP/?p=37746

I mean, the real setback for journalism was its massive overcoverage of nothingburger email stories whilst ignoring literal scores of Trump scandals, thereby helping get a demented sociopathic tyrant elected, but ok.

No. The press dinner was a wake up call. Start covering trump fairly and objectively. Stop bowing to right wing cries of bias. They will never, ever, ever stop.

A call that they will not answer. @sarahkendzior called it out perfectly, calling most of the WHC court stenographers. They report by repeating lies vs reporting on the lies and the problem with them.

(one more, sorry). It's like the curtain has been pulled back on the wizard of Oz and it's been exposed for being all one big show. @michelleisawolf didn't cause this setback, it was caused by the journalists themselves.

-- while I appreciate the spirit of trying to set tension aside for one night, these same reporters of integrity are out there on the daily telling the world just how f-cked we are, and so their reactions today make me doubt the authenticity of their message overall.

She was funny. I guess the truth hurts. Being offended because she made fun of Sarah's makeup and not offended by what the President says/tweets is beyond the pale. Double standards. Let's face it, Sarah & Kellyanne lie every time they open their mouths. THAT's offensive.
