What makes people distrust media is the fact that organizations like the New York Times and CNN still haven't taken responsibility for their over-the-top focus on Clinton's emails and their penchant for treating every smear against Clinton as the gospel truth.

Devoting 50 minutes of airtime to Trump's empty podium is what makes people distrust media. Slamming Chelsea Clinton for the sin of defending herself is what makes people distrust media.
-
Ignoring the Trump administration's unsecure and non-transparent email usage is what makes people distrust media. Treating as credible the suggestion that Obama, Clinton, et al should be investigated or jailed is what makes people distrust media.

People are forgiving of Joy because the TRUST her, not because they need or expect her to be perfect. She is facing her critics head on, something NYT, CNN, and other media outlets have FAILED to do.

@davidsirota Also true that people distrust media that reflexively circles the wagons around a "plucky and honest" writer who very clearly got facts wrong in a book about a politician that media clearly disliked. The "we care about credibility" narrative only seems to fly so far. -
Interesting how she calls
@HillaryClinton male campaign aides “the guys” rather than naming them when she claims they called her derogatory, misogynistic names. Did her fact checker identify who actually said these things? Convenient to not name them.https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/i-have-to-ask/id1211798722?mt=2&i=1000410048758 … -
Chozick plays the victim and whines about how Hillary didn't give her access. Zero reflection on how Trump's open-kimono approach really fueled some of the shittiest, laziest "journalism" of our lifetimes. The media failed to hold both candidates to the same standard.

"Agreed?" So, a famously avowed Democrat-hating adversary of
@JoyAnnReid (for many years) asserts that she "Lied," and you blatantly use your platform to amplify it? Might the fact that she's your direct competitor have anything to do with that choice. Very disappointed. -
At the end of the day,
@brianstelter is shiny window dressing hiding a decrepit house. Just don’t look too close through the window. His whole spin revolves around making the window dressing the house. -
I won't go that far, but I do think it's conduct unbecoming a "media pundit" to amplify clearly partisan assertions about a counter-programmed competitor in the middle of a very big media story about her. It's very bad form and a direct conflict of interest.
-
He “amplified” bogus information provided to the “media” by the “pizzagate” source. He has a blind eye to the wretched bigoted punditry in his own house. No pass.

You know what makes it hard for us to believe the MSM? When you have known proven liars like trump, conway, lewandowski, giuliani, sanders, lord, etc. on your shows and let them lie their asses off in real time for ratings. You are a complicit tool...back the hell off of Joy.
-
Boom! I bailed on
@CNN months ago. If I wanted to listen to Trump sellouts, endless cross-talk & shouting matches, I'd watch FOX. Stetler can't hold a candle to#JoyReid.#IStandWithJoy#AMJoy

Interesting what/whose credibility issues raise concern though

Speaking of….. how many times did Molly from the Federalist show up on “reliable sources” during the election? She is the definition of a propagandist…. But yes this is the big issue of our time!
-
CNN's M.O. is to gather huge panels of people shouting past each other. Unwatchable. Mollie is there as a bomb thrower, not an illuminator.
-
“both sides”, which of course sets the CNN anchor/moderator up as the Solomonic moderator
