Yes. It was called America. Even when pols differed and they vehemently did, there was still civility, could compromise. @GOP abandoned that w President Obama. T exacerbated it by attacking all sides. Ironic that birther Melania looks happier w Ts targets than her husband.

Remember when there was no birtherism, paranoia, congressmen didn't shout "You lie!" at a president during a televised SOTU, supreme court nominees got hearings, and media covered only the most embarassing snippets of presidents' rallies, summits, and state visits? Me, too.

There has always been a division, but the current fission is like nothing we've experienced yet as a nation, due to Trump being the most polarizing president in history. Every spoken word, tweet... Splits us in half and guts both sides.

The differences are even if you disagreed with any of these POTUS & Former First Ladies during their terms in office, whether they were DEMS or GOP, they leave with respect for their service, & for each other. They don't call ea others names, debase ea other.

Yeah, those were the days -- before CNN decided to ignore everything Obama and Hillary did wrong, and then attacked Trump for virtually everything. You guys are largely responsible for the division.

Yeah, and entire government, politicians and media were a corrupt UniParty Deep State elite swamp of greedy police state thieves which ripped off tens of millions of jobs, closed 100,000 factories while amassing such obscene wealth that even bureaucrats became multimillionaires!
