Come on! This has to look ridiculous and petty to Trump supporters because it looks that way to me and I didn’t vote for him!
-
It's definitely not ridiculous to care about accuracy. Companies that allow inaccurate information or numerous spelling and punctuation errors on their Web sites also overlook quality in other aspects of their business. It's a mindset. You're either quality-minded or you're not.
-
I’m as perfectionistic as you can get, but this is a different type of president. There are so many big issues that need to be pursued that, in comparison, this seems picayune and pedantic.
-
As I stated earlier, it's a mindset. The guy who has the nuclear codes doesn't care about being accurate. One way he shows us his sloppy mindset is by failing to validate his tweets. The sloppier he gets, the more we realize that he's going off the rails. That's scary as hell.

Yes, when you cannot argue on ideas then grammar and spelling are your points of attack

As a reader, correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation give credibility to the writer. Sloppiness such as “then” instead of “than” lowers the esteem of the writer.

Reading books (the ones with paper pages) makes better spelling & grammar.

Misspelled on purpose, to confirm a previous message. You still don’t get it.

In isolation, many items are "not important." But when viewing items as a system of leadership, choices and responsibility, a lack of caring for the accuracy of details, facts, and the truth cripples a democracy. It's the "broken windows" theory, and, YES, it DOES matter.
