Fox News statement: "While Fox News was unaware of Sean Hannity's informal relationship with Michael Cohen and was surprised by the announcement in court yesterday, we have reviewed the matter and spoken to Sean and he continues to have our full support."

Fox (I will no longer give them the benefit of adding “News) will issue a similar statement after Sean Hannity is indicted by the Department of Justice.

Time will tell. But there was some communication between Cohen & Hannity that they did not want shared w/the DOJ. If I had informal conversations w/an attorney about a real estate transaction, I wouldn't be asserting attorney-client privilege - unless I had something to hide.

Asserting attorney client privilege is a right. It doesn’t mean someone has something illegal to hide. I would definitely assert my attorney client privilege if my attorney was raided over things unrelated to me & revealing my name or info would drag me into a political storm.

Let's say you are right. Why then did Sean Hannity claim he never instructed Cohen to assert the privilege?

My understanding is that Cohen & his attorney asserted Sean’s privilege- as they should in due diligence.

The privilege is held by the client, not the attorney and can only be asserted at the request of the client. Moreover, in their filing, Cohen's legal team said Hannity demanded the privilege be asserted and insisted upon an immediate appeal if his name was ordered released.

One of the supposedly legitimate journalists at Fox, Dana Perino excused away Hannity's mistake by saying he probably forgot Cohen was his attorney. Entire organization is corrupted.

No surprise. She was George W. Bush's spin doctor long before she started working for Fox.

That's true. But she's portrayed as one of the more reasonable people at Fox. I have a feeling she realizes who is buying her books and watching her show.
