Have the people who bash Comey seen Trump's tweets and the sh*t that comes out of his mouth? Are we still doing adult rules for everyone EXCEPT THE PRESIDENT who is supposed to be the Commander in Chief?
-
Exactly. Plus, they have “Trumper” focus groups? Lord. They’re not going to change their minds. Same as if they were to have a focus group with those who oppose him.

What unmitigated crap. Even reposting this is just more bothsiderism run amok. Informed perspectives are just that, they’re not weapons in some kind of proxy war for one side’s political values. Judge a book on its merits, not on what you think it should or should not accomplish.

Too many are maligning Comey for his book tour and disregarding the dire threats to American democracy he is warning of.

I disagree with the statement that James
@Comey media tour is getting Trump sympathy. Quite the opposite is happening. The American people are learning more details of what happened, and we want to know. We appreciate the information and help understanding what is going on.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

I disagree. Let's not forget, Comey was fired for refusing to obstruct justice at Trump's request. That was the right thing to do. Now he's doing his civic duty by speaking out against a president who is undermining the truth, rule of law, and free press.

I'm reading it now, about 3/4 through. It's really a very good book. Not all about Trump. A lot of "life" stories. He's a good writer. I'm enjoying it.

Couldn't disagree more. People like Brian Stelter do the false equivalence all the time!

Do you read the entire book? I read it and it's a good book. He is an American citizen who has a right to write his story. Too bad you don't think it's okay to call out Trump. I disagree with you.

Trump is an utter assh*&e! Why the heck would anyone feel sympathy for him? I feel sympathy for his many victims, incl. Comey.

The lemming approach re Comey that seems to compel analysts to jump off of “good” or “bad” opinion cliffs ignores the long view. 1/
-
What is happening is Comey’s life bio of scholarship and public service is set aside. Instead his admitted mistakes are the focus. 2/

When even 2nd graders feel pressure to be perfect, I wish Comey analysts would include this longer view https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Comey … /3

I'm capable of seeing Trump for what he is, and still able to acknowledge Comey's flaws and how he broke protocol on Hillary investigation. There is no "good guy vs bad guy" thing here. Trump is unfit, and Comey's a holier-than-thou putz who threw the election.

He wrote a book about his experience. Nothing unusual that part of it was passing judgment on others especially when writing about Trump.
