Producer @JustinSimmonsNE wrote his resignation letter March 26. The Sinclair promos were just the final straw, he said. Here's the full interviewhttps://cnnmon.ie/2q5Dhq2

Hi Brian, I noticed you left this context out of your story. Is it ethical and unbiased for a reporter to organize political protests and take over the stage when Speaker Ryan is supposed to speak? Do you think those actions undercut his credibility?https://twitter.com/JamesHasson20/status/981631834890137607 …
-
Take over the stage of speaker Ryan? He should win a prize for that
-
Brian has a First Amendment right to do those activities and express his OPINIONS in his FREE TIME. Not inconsistent to object to media owner's Orwellian bias that prevents reporting facts while labeling other news as fake news.
-
James objects to Brian's PERSONAL activities, which actually follow norms of democratic behavior. Sinclair follows norms of autocratic society behavior, including forming an AGREEMENT to give Trump favorable coverage--as revealed by Jared Kushner on the record!
-
James, you forgot to mention Sinclair's special deal with Kushner! It's a FACT that Sinclair hasn't been reporting, have they? But Jared blabbed it because he's not pretending to uphold democracy.

I put the blame for this mess SQUARELY on Bill Clinton! He was the one who signed the 1996 Telecommunications Act.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Telecommunications_Act_of_1996 … -
Squarely? Clinton signed it, sure. Not on the Senate Republican who introduced it? the legislature had a hand in it as well.
-
There is zero hope for Republicans. But the bill passed on BI-PARTISAN VOTES. The Republicans aren’t to blame here.

-
It was bipartisan but Republicans aren’t to blame? Like at all? Not even partially? I just lol’d so hard at the mental gymnastics required for this tweet.pic.twitter.com/jMlB4kVimp
-
The 1996 Telecommunications was STRONGLY SUPPORTED by the Clinton Administration and the Democrats. It was a BIPARTISAN DEAL. This was not a Republican bill.

-
It was a different time. Pre-Fox 'control' of the Republican Party, business as usual for mass media. There was no comparison in the years before of what was to come. Clinton is to blame in the same way the founding fathers are responsible for the Heller decision on guns.

"(Most of Sinclair's stations are CNN affiliates -- meaning CNN shares content and resources with them and vice versa.)" - Now I get why you were so against boycotts of Sinclair stations.
-
CNN is owned by Turner. Here are the channels that Sinclair has stations.pic.twitter.com/K2nD5lNp39
-
There's a difference between ownership and affiliation. A station can be owned by Sinclair, be a CBS affiliate for programming, and a CNN affiliate for news products.

Thanx for the list. I travel alot. Good to know what stations are not trustworthy.
-
That list doesn’t seem comprehensive. It doesn’t have Seattle on there and
@komonews is definitely owned by Sinclair. -
Here is a complete list from their website http://sbgi.net/tv-channels/
